THE TRUE KINGS OF THE NORTH

THE TEAM NP SHOW

It’s the final day of the Manila Masters and it’s Team NP v Evil Geniuses who are battling it out in the lower bracket finals.

For their opening game, NP drafted Eternal Envy’s signature hero, the Ember Spirit, together with the Io and the Legion Commander. Evil Geniuses answered with a Suma1l Death Prophet, a rtz Weaver and the ever famous Universe Earthshaker.

During the early phase, the boys in blue drew first blood, however, by the ten minute mark, the game was turning into the NP Show. MSS’s Legion Commander was able to secure an early Blink Dagger, while the rest of the team have been claiming EG supports and Radiant towers.

The first Roshan fell in the hands of the Evil Geniuses, but despite this advanatge, not much was attained. Team NP was style cruising through game one and ending it with a 24k networth difference and an 11-25 kill score in their favour.

GAME OF THROWS

Team NP is one game away from claiming a spot to the Grand Finals. They drafted the Ember Spirit but this time it’s in the hands of Fata- while Eternal Envy wielded the Bristleback. For Evil Geniuses, they deny picked the Legion Commander and had the last pick legendary Suma1l Storm Spirit.

During the early game, the teams were even in clashes but by the 35 minute mark, Team NP only lost one tower while EG have lost all of their. But despite a seeminly hopeless situation, EG still manages to hold and defend their high ground as Team are sieging the Radiant home base.

As the late game started to kick in, the match looked like a free for all as both teams obtained huge networth leads against one another in repetition. But EG finally broke the cycle starting from the 60 minute mark and ending the game at 77 minutes with a 29k networth lead.

ANIME SEASON COMES TO A CLOSE

The lower bracket finals went to a full best of three series. Winner gets to face Newbee and the loser will exit the Manila Masters stage.

In this crucial decider game, Team NP again drafted the Bristleback but this time for Fata- while giving aui_2000 the Nyx after he had an impactful game one with the hero. EG selected the playful Puck for Suma1l, the notorious Faceless Void for Universe, and the Razor for rtz.

EG opened the game with a strong laning phase securing an 8-3 kill score advantage and a tower claimed at just 12 minutes in. It would seem like a different EG stepped into game three as they continued to snowball in net worth and kills against Team NP. Although the anime squad showed some signs of life as they were able to win minor clashes within the map, EG’s core heroes as well as the Pheonix’s on point positioning with the Supernova was just too much to handle. After 42 minutes of hanging on to their dreams at the Manila Masters, Team NP had to exit the stage.

The Evil Geniuses will face Newbee at the Grand Finals.
