Frequently Asked Questions

  • Signing up is only possible for a certain period of time. Watch out for announcements on WESLeague to make sure you don’t miss it.

What are the requirements for signing up?

  • First of all you need to create an account on WESLeague as [Player Sign Up]. Then you need to provide your steam id for your account you have just created. Furthermore you’re teammates also have to create an account on WESLeague. If all of those requirements are met, you are eligable to join a new season.
  • If you are here just to view live game and not to play, then you just have to register as [Member Sign Up].

How do I find out my steam id?

  • A fast and easy way is to enter your profile URL on steamidfinder and copy the result.

My Steam ID is already in use.

  • In most cases like this, your steam id has been used by yourself on a previous account.

I'd like to play, but I don't have a team

  • Have a look into our Forums to search for team members

How many divisions are there and what do they mean?

  • Since you will be the first ever participant of WESLeague, all the teams registered will be divided into a few groups to play for 4 whole months ( Games will only be on the weekend).

How is my division determined?

  • You will be seeded into a division based on your ranking in your group. Depending on the amount of teams joining, most likely top 4 of each group ( If there is a total of 5 groups of 20 teams each) will be in Division 1.
  • Top 3 of each division will get promoted to a higher division and the bottom 3 of each division will get demoted to a lower division. (1st, 2nd and 3rd place of Division 3 will get promoted to Division 2 and vice versa)

  • If your team register after the group stages then you will have to compete with another 19 teams in a new group to enter a new division of WESLeague which is also the lowest division ( If there is 5 division, you will enter at division 6)

How can I get into a higher division quicker?

  • Forcing a really strong team to slowly climb up division by division is neither a great experience for this team, nor for its opponents. Therefore we offer ways for participants like this to reach a high division faster. In fact the first place of each group in low divisions has the chance on a double promotion by winning its respective playoffs. Furthermore we offer Preseason Playoffs – a two day competition at the beginning of a season that lets the winners start in a high division (promote to 2 division) right away. In rare exceptions we also directly seed known teams based on results in external competitions.

What will happen if my team ends the division at the bottom of the table?

  • You will need to play in a Preseason Playoffs a two day competition at the beginning of a season the loser will be demoted down 2 or 1 division depending on what stage they get knock out. (You can send us an email @____ for more information on this)

When are matches played? Are the playdays set?

  • Yes they playdays are set and can’t be change. Once of the rules before signing up to WESLeague is that you will need to commit to every single weekend to play 2 games with your opponent (1-2 hours) for about 4 months. If you can’t make it for the game due to personal reason, then you will just have to forfeit that game and your opponents will get a win (+ 3 points) and you will receive a lose ( 0 points).
  • We will also provide a time for the matches to be played and there will be a 15 minutes waiting time ( exp: game at 7 pm on a Saturday, latest for you team to enter the lobby will be at 7.15pm) if your team enters the lobby later than 15 minutes (7.16 pm) you will receive a warning/strike and if you will have to forfeit the game.
  • If you have 3 warnings/strikes, you will be kicked out of WESLeague and all of you Steam ID will be blocked from the website. You won’t be able to participate in WESLeague any longer.
  • Conclusion : If you can’t make it for the match just forfeit earlier so you don’t receive a warning/strike. We will not accept any excuses (exp : Can’t login due to lag, Internet down) to be safe if you have a game at 7 pm, prepare your team by 6.45 pm so you can join the lobby without any problem. If you do have a problem with internet and so on, inform the website through _____ before your game time (before 7 pm ) so you will not receive a warning/strike.

How do I join the lobby where my match is held?

  • You’re team captain will receive an email on the lobby name and password 15 minutes before game time

The opponents did not join the lobby after 15 minutes ?

  • You will receive a default win and your opponent will receive a strike/warning.

Who hosts the games? Do we need an admin?

  • We will create the lobby and send you the information needed to enter the lobby via email. After the game the winner will have to go back to WESLeague and enter the match id for confirmation.

How many point do I get from a win/tie/loss?

  • You will receive 3 points from a win. ( Win 2 games out of 2)
  • You will receive 1 points from a tie. ( Win 1 game out of 2)
  • You will receive 0 points from a loss. ( Lose both games )

What can we do about problems inside a match?

  • If you run into issues while playing, try to solve them by yourselves as good as you can. That involves knowing and applying the League Rules as well as basic human communication between both teams to find a fair solution. If you submit a support ticket and wait for admin interference, we cannot promise to get involved in time – with matches going on every day around the clock, a permanent live support can unfortunately not be provided. If absolutely no solution can be obtained within a reasonable timeframe, you may cancel the match and await admin instructions within the next few days – however in most cases it is highly recommended to finish the match and then have it investigated afterwards

How can I watch WESLeague?

  • You may sign up to WESLeague through [Member Sign Up] and upgrade to Gold to watch all the games we broadcast on the website or you can PPV ( Pay Per View ) for just a single game without upgrading to Gold.
  • Know that all of WESLeague games can’t be viewed anywhere else except WESLeague.com

  • If you want to stream/cast WESLeague games you will need to send us an email @_______ and we will review you and get you to do an interview where you will cast one of the games played before to see if you fit the requirements needed to be a streamer/caster for WESLeague.
  • If you are accepted into WESLeague, you will be given a salary that will be discussed between WESLeague and you personally.
